Zachary Freiman
Zack is thrilled and honored to help lead CJSA as its President. He believes in a CJSA that is inclusive, inviting, active, and supportive. Zack grew up in Westchester, NY, and is currently Senior Policy Advisor for Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03). He covers foreign affairs, defense, and appropriations portfolios among many other issues, as well as the Member’s Oversight Committee work. Previously, Zack worked for Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) for three years. Zack graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service with a Master's in International Security and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Pomona College. Lastly, Zack sings as a baritone with The Washington Chorus in his spare time.

Gabe Feiner
Gabe Feiner is excited to return to the CJSA Board this year, having served last year as Vice President of Professional Development. On the Hill, Gabe is a Legislative Aide for Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49), covering a wide-ranging policy portfolio that includes foreign affairs, trade, and transportation. He is a Bay Area native and a UCLA graduate (go Bruins!). In his free time, he enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, biking around the DMV, and reminiscing on the days Oakland was home to three professional sports teams.

Joshua Lash
I am Joshua Lash. I am an Executive Member At-Large for the Congressional Jewish Staff Association. Growing up in the DMV gave me an interest in government and history. This interest has led me to a career in visitor services at the Capitol. Today I work as a visitor guide (red coat) here on the hill. Outside of work, I enjoy visiting local parks and cheering on the Orioles and Ravens!

Lindsey is thrilled to be continuing with the CJSA board, working to connect and support Jewish congressional staff.
Her interest in public service led her to Capitol Hill, where she interned for Congressman José E. Serrano, Senator Mark Warner and the American Federation of School Administrators before serving as an Immigration Casework Intern in Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's office.
Lindsey serves as a Legislative Correspondent in the Office of Senator Tim Kaine, where she works closely with the office's General Counsel on Judiciary and Homeland Security issues, leading on gun violence prevention policy, immigration detention issues, coast guard, and appropriations related to the portfolio. Lindsey first joined the office as a legislative intern in 2019 and later served as a Staff Assistant.
Outside of work, you can find Lindsey at a concert, exploring independent bookstores, trying new restaurants, and planning her next trip.

Louie Kahn
Louie currently serves as Communications Director for Congressman Ami Bera (CA-06). He has worked in the House for four years with Congressman Bera and the New Democrat Coalition. He looks forward to using his experience in strategic communications and digital media to grow CJSA's reach and engage Jewish staffers across the Hill. Louie earned his B.A. and M.P.P. from the George Washington University and is from Burbank, California.

Max Seltzer
Max is currently a policy advisor for Senator Eric Schmitt, leading the Senator’s team for the Commerce Committee. He previously served as a Legislative Director for Rep. Derrick Van Orden as well as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Commerce Aviation Subcommittee. Max is originally from Westchester, NY.Member-at-Large
Tessa Cate serves as the Director of Operations & Legislative Aide for Rep. Jennifer McClellan (VA-04). She has spent over five years on Capitol Hill and had the honor of working for Rep. Elaine Luria (VA-02) and Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05). Tessa holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Washington and in her free time she can be found perusing the District’s many bookstores, cheering on the Caps, and searching for the best iced chai in the city.

Sasha Frank-Stempel
Sasha is proud to serve as an executive member at-large of the CJSA. Sasha grew up in Maryland and currently serves as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, working for Ranking Member Dick Durbin. On the Committee, he covers nominations as well as the civil portfolio. Previously, he worked for two years in the Biden-Harris White House, including as Associate Director for Strategy and Operations. Sasha has a B.A. and MPP from George Washington University. In his free time, Sasha plays competitive ultimate frisbee.
